Today I am pleased to present the first picture completed in 2021!
This picture is really something very special. It's like reaching a milestone for me. When I started painting with acrylics two and a half years ago, it was my dream and my goal to also paint scenes from the Bible or pictures of Jesus. With today's painting, I have taken the first step towards fulfilling this dream. In some of my last paintings, I often painted people to get a feel for them. They were all just an exercise for today's painting.
I sat and painted this picture for quite a while and then painted over it again. I painted over the clouds alone countless times. But I was also very unhappy with the water, which is why I painted over it completely once and some other parts even more often and started again from the beginning. I spent most of my time painting the clothes. The endless number of folds, light and shadow effects were very time-consuming and sometimes didn't turn out the way I wanted. On the other hand, the bride's hair was very easy. It almost painted itself. The face of Jesus was also easier to paint than I initially expected. It took a few attempts, but I'm quite happy with the result.
I based the picture on a painting I discovered on Pinterest. It was created by a South African artist who Mary is called. She is a Christian and wants to paint her pictures for the glory of God.
I didn't want to completely cover her picture, but bring my own style into it. That's why I painted water and waves as the background - and how could it be otherwise?.

It is night. Waves break on the beach while thick clouds tower in the sky. On the beach, Jesus walks with his bride, which in the Bible is his Municipality is out for a walk. She is dressed in a white dress, which is righteous deeds of the faithful stands. She is pure and holy, just like her bridegroom. Her gaze is not fixed on the waves and the storm, but on the one she loves with all her heart. Her heart is full of affection, deepest love and devotion. She knows that nothing can happen to her with Jesus by her side. They are the perfect couple. He paid the highest bride price for her, because he paid with his blood and life.
She wasn't always like this. She used to live a life of dissipation, looking for short-term pleasure and money. This led her to absolute ruin and unspeakable suffering. Her heart was broken a thousand times. She was mortally wounded and lay abandoned in her own blood, ready to die.
But there was one who really loved her, one who had created her. Although she had run away from him and was living her own life, he never let her out of his sight. He watched painfully as she destroyed her life, but he still loved her. As she lay dying on the ground, he came to her, cared for her and gave her his loving attention. He washed her and gave her a new, clean dress. When she looked into his eyes, she saw a deep love that she had never known before but had always sought. She found peace in his love. She began a new life with him. She did what he told her and realized that she found true happiness in it. She knew she was safe at his side.

This or something similar is the experience of every Christian. We have all distanced ourselves from God and gone our own way. But he followed us, paid for our guilt with his own life and tried to win our love. Many people first have to experience crises in their lives in order to realize that they need a Savior. He is the only one who can satisfy our deepest needs. Happiness and peace can be found at his side, no matter how many storms there may be in this world. I can only say from my own experience that it is worth giving him a chance. You can find out how to do this here listen.
God's blessing and peace to you all!
