Here is my first entry! Nice to have you here! 🙂

In this first post, I would like to share with you how it all began and show you the first steps in my
“artistic career”.

My father is a trained master painter. It's a practical and versatile profession. But I had no idea what impact this profession would have on my life.

Although I was a bit of a klutz, especially as a child (and still am^^), I enjoyed practical work. Our father let my two brothers and me „work along“ diligently when it came to renovation work in the apartment and house. My father put a paintbrush in my hand at a young age, but it was a few years before I discovered the beauty and variety of colors for myself.

Like most girls, I went through a phase where everything revolved around horses. I grew up in a Christian home. However, I wasn't really interested in this faith when I was young. So I started drawing during church services. Below you can see my first memories of my artistic attempts. However, I never got beyond this childish level. It was around this time that I discovered the world of the internet, which I immersed myself in completely. So there was no more room for further attempts at drawing and painting.

The teenage years were not easy for me. I was looking for a place where I could be myself. I found this place in the Ore Mountains on my relatives' farm. I learned to love nature there. I was fascinated by the animals, the peace and quiet of the countryside, the meadows, forests, hills and valleys. And of course the life of a farmer! It quickly became clear that this was my dream job! So I spent almost all my vacations there. In the picture below you can see me with my favorite cow Blacky (to the right Meggy, both were one heart and one soul).

But it was also during this time that I turned away from the faith of my childhood and began to explore the pagan religions of our ancestors.

The Wave Gothic Treffen takes place every year in Leipzig, my home town. It's an event where people come from all over the world to slip into a different role for a long weekend. They leave their everyday lives behind and dress up in the most creative ways.
Even as a child, I was captivated by them.
As a teenager, I also wanted to get away from everyday life and be someone else. So I immersed myself in the gothic and metal scene. I thought I had found the place I was looking for there. I could be myself there - at least that's what I thought.

You can find out how this time affected my artistic endeavors and what became of me in the next post read 🙂
